Towing of Uninsured Motorists

Effective September 1, 2006, the Bedford Police Department began towing vehicles involved in traffic accidents or traffic stops that do not have insurance or fail to provide proof of insurance. Vehicles will be towed at the owner's expense to the City's contracted towing company (currently B&B Wrecker located in Euless, Texas). The Bedford Police Department will provide transportation to the Law Enforcement Center for the motorist/ occupants of the towed vehicle, or the motorist/ occupants can request to remain at the scene.

Vehicles can be claimed at the City's contracted towing company upon proof of insurance or by having the vehicle towed to another location.
