| Beautification Commission |
The commission is composed of thirteen (13) members, six (6) alternate members and two (2) ex-officio members - one designee of the City Manager and one City Council member.
Members serve for a term of two (2) years. Meetings are held the third Monday of each month and as called. |
Powers and Duties
The purpose of the beautification program is:
- To make the city a clean and attractive place to live.
- To maintain a healthy environment.
- To educate citizens about the ongoing efforts to keep the city beautiful.
- To generally beautify the city.

The Commission makes recommendations to the City Council regarding:
- Landscaping of city right-of-ways and city property.
- Programs to recognize businesses and residential areas that beautify their surroundings through landscaping, maintenance, litter cleanup, etc.
- Joining state or nation-wide groups focused on beautification.
- Volunteer recycling - including recycling promotion and education.
- Involving schools, business and homeowners in a beautification program.
